Note in payment for Goods and some Money which
he then Womtech upon which this Informants
Answered that he would take it the said Mr. Jacobs
promising to allow this Informants a Discounts
thereupon the said Mr. Jacobs produced the said
Note of which the foregoing his a true copy upon
which said Note there is an Indorsement on the
back of the Mark purporting to be the name & Mark of
Mary Jackson< no role > & also the Indorsement of the
said Mr. Jacobs by the Name of R. Jacobs upon
this Informt. Inquiring who the said Mary Jackson< no role >
was the said Jacobs answered that she was a
Client of his this Informant then enquired concerning
the said Note of a person who called himself
Mr Sparkes who say'd that it was a good note
this Informant further saith that thro' day the
other Informant Mary Jackson< no role > came & Inquired
of this Informant if he had the abovementioned
Note & he Answered Yeo & this Informant asked
the said Mary Jackson< no role > if she had Indorsed that
Note to which she Answered that she had not and
say'd that it was a forged & Counterfiet Indorsements
And this Informant further upon his Oath
declareth & saith that he doth verily believe
that the Indorsement purporting to be the
Indorsement of the said Mary Jackson< no role > is a
false forged & Counterfeit Indorsement this
Informant further saith that he saw the said
Mr JacobsIndorse his own Name on the back
of the said Note & also the directions at the bottom
of the said Note where the Money was to be paid
And this Informant also verily believes that thes
