The Information of James Daniel< no role > Waterman
taken on Oath before us two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace in and for the said
County the 27th day of March 1773

Who saith that last night (being Friday) about half
past Eight o Clock as he was plying at Iron Gate
[..] one John North< no role > came to him and told him
he had got a Jobb for him at the same time a man
(who is now present and says his name is Jonathan
Spicer
< no role > and appears to be mate of the Ship or vessel
called the Oak) stood by him and told he must go
along side of the outermost ship Oat the said Wharf
and that he would be on board as soon as him
saith that he rowed his boat long side of the said
Ship and there two Men one of whom is the said
Spicer the said Mate assisted andthethree into his
Boat two Sacks filld with sweepings of Com (as he was
told) saith that as soon as the Sacks were put into his Boat [..] he
pushed off and rowed back to the Stairs afore mentioned
saith that as soon as he landed he saw North and the
said Mate coming down the stairs and then he heard
