& Ann Willinghby otherwise Williams an Evidence
taken before Us two of his Majestys
Justices of the peace for the said
County

Who being severally upon Oath say And first
this Informant John Fitchener for himself saith
that he keeps the Sign of the Porenpine in Great
Newport Street : that on Sunday Night the
21st. of March last about twelve oClock he and his
Family went to Bed and this Informant saw his
House properly fastened up and in particular the Flap
of his Cellar Door next the Street & the inside doors
of the Cellar that the next Morning about half on
hour past Six oClock his daughter came up to
him & Said that the House had been broke open
that the Silver Spoons was missed upon which this
Informant immediately got up & arms down stairs
& found the Inside Cellar door Broke open & the
Nails of the Top Hinge of the Flap on the
outside of the Cellar drawn and upon examining
further found the pad lock of his Tap Room door
broke of and the following things stolen Ajt. two
large Silver Table Spoons three Silver Tea spoons
two Yards of Muslin three Muslin Handkerchief
five Shaving Cloaths One Surtute Coat a Pair
of Buck skirt Gloves Sixteen Muslin Neck cloaths a
Till containing about One Guinea in half pence
a pair of Stuff Shoes this Informant further
saith that the three Silver Tea spoons a pair of
Bucks him Gloves & four China Saucers & three
China Caps now produced are the properly of this
