me this 23rd. day of January 1771
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Mary Brayne< no role >
for herself says that she is Servant
to the Honble. Mr. Stratford of South
Park Street
that on Saturday Evening the 12th. of January Instant
she fastened the Windows Shutters of the Boom in the said Mr. Stratford
house on the Area floor which is used as a Laundry and the next
Morning when she got up fraud that one of the said Window Shutters
had been wrenched off and her Master's house robbed, and the said
Alexander Cornelius< no role >
for himself says that at the Time above
mentioned he was also Servant
to the Said Mr. Stratford, that on
Sunday Morning the 13th. of January Instant he got up about
7 o' Clock and found that his Master's house had been broke open and
robbed that the front Door which he had fastened and locked on the
Saturday Night was then open and that one of the Window Shutters
of the Laundry below Stairs had been wrenched off
