taken before me this
21st. day of November 1770
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said George Turner< no role >
for himself says that on the 7th. day of November Instant a person
now present who calls himself Samuel Young< no role >
hired a Mare of
this Informant to go to Imber in Wiltshire and to return again the same
day to Warminster
where this Deponent lives, but that the said Samuel
Young< no role >
never did return again with the said Mare; and the said
Samuel Featherstone< no role >
for himself says that on the 9th. of November
Instant the said Samuel Young< no role >
sold a Mare to this Deponent as
his own property at this Deponent's house in the Strand
which Mare
has since been claimed by the said George Turner< no role >
, and the said
George Turner< no role >
for himself further Says that the Mare now in
the Possession of the said Samuel Featherstone< no role >
which he this
Deponent has claimed is the same Make that the said Samuel
Young< no role >
hired of him as above mentioned and that he does verily
believe the said Samuel Young< no role >
obtained the said Mare from him
with Intent to Steal her
