is Commanded that he Omit not upon Account of any Liberty in his Bail wick but that he take the said John
Lambden
< no role > to Answer the Premises which said Indictment the abovenamed Justices of our said Lord the King
afterwards (to wit) at theSame Delivery of the Goal of our said Lord the King holden for the said County of Essex
at Chelmsford aforesaid in the said County on the said Tuesdaythe Twenty eighth Day of February in the said
Ninth Year of the Reign of our said Lord the King before the aforesaid Sir Sidney Stafford Smythe< no role > Knight and Richard
Leigh
< no role > Serjeant at Law Justices of our said Lord the King and others their fellows Justices assigned to Deliver the said
Goal of the Prisoners therein being by their own Proper hands do deliver herein Court of Record in form of Law to be
Determined Whereupon at that same Delivery of the said Goal of the County aforesaid be bore the said Justices last
mentioned Cometh the said John Lambden< no role > under the Custody of Daniel Mathews Esquire Sheriff of the County
of Essex aforesaid in whose Custody in the said Goal for the Cause aforesaid he had been before Committed being brought
to the Barr here in his Proper Person who is Committed to the said Sheriff forth with concerning the Premises in the
said Indictmentabove Specified and Charged on him as above being ask'd in what manner he would be aquitted
thereof the said John Lambden< no role > saith that he is not Guilty thereof and concerning this for good and Ill he puts himself upon
the Country and Jerome Knapp< no role > Esquire Clerk of the Assizes for the County aforesaid who Prosecutes for our said Lord the
King in this Behalf doth the like Therefore let a Jury immediately come before the said Justices of our said Lord the King
above named and others their fellows Justicesaforesaid here who are not of Kin to the said John Lambden< no role > to Recognize upon their
Oath whether the said John Lambden< no role > be Guilty of the Felony and Robbery in the Indictment aforesaid above Specified or not And the Jurors of the
the said Jury by the said Sheriff to this matter Impanneld and returned (to wit) Edward Bunn< no role > Joseph Benson< no role > John Bridge< no role > Henry White< no role > Jeffery
Lambert A day While John Josslin John Shingle Henry Shettleworth John Totman William Chaplin< no role > and Mathew Ellis being called come who being
Elected Tryed and Sworn to Speak the Truth of and concerning the Premises aforesaid do say upon their Oath that the said John Lambden< no role > is Guilty of the
said Felony and Robbery in the said Indictment in manner and form as by the said Indictment is Charged on him and that at the Time of Committing
the Felony and Robbery aforesaid or at any time afterwards to this time he had not nor hath any Good or Chattles lands or Tenements in the said County of
Essex or else where to the Knowledge of the said Jurors and thereupon it is forthwith Demanded of the said John Lambden< no role > if he hath or can say any
thing for himself why the Court here should not Proceed to Judgment and Execution against him upon the Verdict aforesaid who nothing farther
saith but what he had before said upon which all and Singular the Premises been seen and by the Court here fully understood It is
Considered by the Court here that the said John Lambden< no role > be taken to the Goal of our said Lord the King of the said County of Essex from
[..] confience he came And from thence to the Place of Execution and there be hanged by the neck until tie be Dead
