Who being upon Oath says that he is Son of Mr. Benge Messenger to
the Navy Office
, that he carried a Letter to the Post Office
on a Friday about
or more than a Month ago forwhichhis Master which he saw contained a
Bank Post Bill of ten Pounds a Bankers Note of nine pounds
sixteen Shillings and Six pence and a Receipt for three hundred
pounds three and a half P Cont Bank Annuities 1756, that he put the
said Letter into the General Post Office
with his own hand which was directed
to the Revd. Mr. Lewis or the Revd. Mr. Hugh Lewis< no role >
at East Grinstead Sussex
