before me this 4th. of March 1769
Who being upon Oath says that this Afternoon a person now
present who calls herself Jane Deck came to his Shop and bought
six penny worth of Lawn, that very Soon after she was gone he
this Informant perceived that a Quantity ofMuslinLawn. now
produced was stolen upon which he pursued her and overtook her
in Bedfordbury
with the SaidMuslinLawn under her Arm, and further
says that he does verily believe the Said Jane Deck< no role >
did feloniously
take and carry away the SaidMuslinLawn
