The Information of William Stapleton< no role > &
Mary Bayley< no role > & Will Mattock< no role > taken before us two of his
Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the sd County

Who being sevly. on Oath say & first this Inst. Willm
Stapleton
< no role > for himself saith that on Fridaynight
[..] was seven [..] this Ins. met in Cranbourn Alley three Lads
two of which are now present & call themselves
Hardall Handlan & Geo Wall (and one John
Watters not app Edwd ) and they the sd. Hardel
Geo & John & this Ins went to the shop of Mr.
Mattock in Monstech about Ten the sound
Night and Hardel went & Wall followed him
& then this Inst: & Hardel asked for a half penny worth
of Workload & then Watters came in & Handlen
made Excuses as to the Colour till they had an
Oppurtunity Handlen hod on this Ins feet & then
he wait blow out the Candle which he did
and ran out of the shop and forthwith the
other than came to this Ins a few doors from
the Shop & sd. Handlen had five Stockings
which he stole out of the sd & Shop and this
Ins & the sd. Handel Geo & John went directly
to Mr. Sparing Coller in Monmouth
