Middlesex To wit

The Information of John Lane< no role > and Bridget
Hewitt
< no role > taken before me this 28th. day
of January 1769

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said John
Lane
< no role > for himself says that on the 19th. of Janry Instant a person
now present who calls herself Jane Spicer< no role > whcame to his Shop
to fetch a Gown out of Pledge, that immediately after she was gone
he perceived that a Box containing eight Guineas or more in
Money and a counterfeit four Shillings and six pence and a
counterfiet five Shillings and there pence was stolen out of
a Desk in his Shop and further says that a counterfeit four
Shillings and six pence piece now produced is the very same
piece that was stolen as aforesaid with his Money and the
said Bridget for herself says that she received the said
Counterfeit four Shillings and six pence piece from the said
Jane Spicer< no role > , and the said John Lane< no role > for himself further
says that he does suspect and verily believe that the said
Jane Spicer< no role > did feloniously taken and carry away his said
Money
