The Information of John Holland< no role > of the Minories
Milkman taken before this 5th. day of Octr. 1768

Who being upon Oath says that Sewing Mr. Skinner of Mansfield Street
Goodman's Fields with Milk the said Mr. Skinner's Servant about a
fortnight ago told him this Informt. that said Mr. Skinner's house had
then lately been Robbed in the Absence of the Family of divers goods
particularly of Cloaths and some green Damask Bed furniture the ballance
of which they had left behind says that going to Mr. Skinner's house
the next day with Milk he was shewn the said Vallance, says that
then recollecting that he had some time before Spoken to one David Levi< no role >
and Levi and one Levi Solomon< no role > in Order to help him to some such
Furniture to Match a Bed which he had of his own uncomplete
he thought he cou'd be Serviceable in discovering Mr. Skinner's Robbery
(from his Bed Furniture being something like the Pattern of this Informant's)
says he accordingly spoke to several other Jews for this purpose) the
consequence of which was that last Wednesday Evening the said David
Levi
< no role > and Solomon brought to his House Nathaniel Lee< no role > now present
and asked Informt. if he was provided with the Damask he had spoke
to them and being informd. he was not they then said this Mary meaning
said Nathaniel Lee< no role > has got some that will suity on says said Lee
then asked him how much he wanted upon which Informt. answered that he
wou'd bug ale he had if they cou'd agree says the next Morning said Lee
brought the Quantity of Damask which Mr. Skimmer now has in his County
and said he had thirty or 40 yards of if that it came from [..]
snow Hill and offered the whole to Informant at twenty pence per
Yard, says sd. Lee then went away agreeing to return the next Morning
with the remainder says he then carried what said Lee had left to
Mr. Skinners House whereupon proper Methods were taken to secure
said Lee who came the next day agreeable to promise but did
not bring the remainder with him that he then seemed very
cautions
