The Information of Robt. Stainsby< no role > of Mint
Street Southwark Cordwainer taken before
me this 28: day of Sepr. 1768

Who being upon Oath says that on or about the 15: days of
Sepr. Inst. he was put in possession of the Goods of a Person
now present who calls herself Eliza: Greaves by James Bolland< no role >
Officer now present says he confirmed in possession in the said
House until Monday the 19: when it was burnt down
says that an Inventory was taken of said Goods and as
he believes they were Sold to the said Mr. Bolland says that the
sd. Mr. Bolland having told Greaves that the Goods must helderlised
to be Sold he heard the said Greaves say that somer than her goods
shod. he advertised to be Sold She wou'd set them on Fire and Burn
them says that on the Monday Morning on which the said Fire
happened he was in the Kitchen of the said House when said Mr.
Greaves came down and that she desired him to kill her Catt
for that she believed she wou'd carry Fire about the House
and set it on Fire says that some after he went up Stairs and
discovering a great Smother in the House he went and told Mrs.
Greaves of it that she replied it might be owing to the old Woman's
Washing at the rach door says at this time the Maid had been sent
to Mr. Bolland and was not returned says that soon after he
went up again and finding the Smother one read he opened the Windows
and went and told Mrs. Greaves of it against who took no Notice of
it says that very soon afterwards a Person knocked at the door and
told then the house was on Fire say she this Informt. then went up
Stairs and called Geo: Dundass< no role > who was in Bed says that said
Dundass to avoid the Fire was got upon the House top but that her
persuaded him to come [..] in again which he did and got down
Stairs that at this time the door of the Room whose the Fire began
was shirt says that after the Maid went out as aforesd. Mrs. Grieeves went
up stairs Says at the time the Fire happened there were no one else
in the house except himself Mrs. Grieeve and the aforesaid Geo:
Dundass
< no role > says he lay himself in the same Garrot. with Dundass
and
