in Park Street aforesaid which she by being terrified with the Menaces
aforesaid was at length forced to consent to Saith that a person
whom she has since been informed was an Attorney was introduced
to her during her Confinement who having wrote something on a
paper which she at that time of her fright did not then fully understand
but which she hath since been informed was a Resignation to the said
Wm. Smith of the Goods which she had so bought of him as aforesaid
which paper she was forced to Sign & did Sign otherwise she verily
beleives the said Wm. Smith & his Confederates would have fulfilled
their threats & would have carried her to Newgate Saith that the
reasons which Occasioned her Signing the said paper was the
Consideration of the place she was in joined [..] to the terror of being
carried to Newgate were what prevailed on her to Sign the said
paper which she would not otherwise have done Saith that as
soon as she had Signed the said paper a Coach was called into
which she was put at or about 11 of the Clock the same Night &
into which Coach also got the said Wm. Smith & another person
whom he called his Brother & a Pson whom she beleives was
one of the Bailiffs and from the aforesaid place of Confinement
the said Coach was drove to her House in Park Street aforesaid at
which place she was met by three or four Men more all being
Confederates of the said Wm. Smith & then they altogether rushed into
her House & notwithstanding the lateness of the Hour of the night
they were all Aiding Assisting comforting & abetting each other in the
taking & carrying away out of her House the Goods which she had bough
as aforesaid of the said Wm. Smith & which she had so before
delivered into her House in Park Street aforesaid and not contented
with taking & carrying away the aforesaid Goods he the said Wm.
Smith &a Pson whose name she has been informed & beleives is
George Smith< no role > also another Pson whose name she has been
informed & believes is John Norris< no role > together with three or four other
Men did then & there forceably take Steal & carry away out of her
said Dwelling House in the Night aforesaid the following Goods &
Chattels being her property to wit, one pair of New Blankets and
Common Blanket one Silver Says Ladle three large Silver Spoons
one case inclosing 6 Wrought Silver Tea Spoons & one pair of Silver
Sugar Tongues & about a Dozen of Napkins
And this Informant Mary Lewis< no role > for herself saith that she is the
Domestic Servant of the aforesaid Elizth. Greeve Saith that at the time
