taken before me
this 19th. day of March 1768
Who being upon Oath severally say on the first the said Thomson
for himself saith that a Person now present who calls himself Jeremiah
Holloway< no role >
hath lodged with him about three Weeks, says that about one of the
Clock this day his Butcher
Mr. Jones of Bloomsbury Market
brought into
his house a Shoulder of Deal which he put down in the Taproom
says that several Persons were then present in said Room but very
soon all went away except said Holloway and said William Fawkins< no role >
when said Shoulder of veal remained in the said Room says said
Holloway very soon went out of the house Immediatly upon which
Informt. missed his Veal and verily believes said Holloway feloniously took
and carried away the same, And this Informant William Fawkins for
himself saith that about three o Clock this afternoon he was in the
Taproom in the House of the other Informant Thomas Penny< no role >
at which
time no other Person was in said Room and that at this time there
was a Shoulder of Veal upon one of the Tables in said Room which was
very soon afterwards missed and farther says that from the time he said
said Shoulder of Veal to the timeto the timeof its being found missing no
other Person except himself and said Holloway was there or had
its inthishis or their power to take it away and believes sd. Holloway feloniously
took and carried away the said Shoulder of Veal
