The Information of Benjamin Lamber< no role >
and Thomas Campe< no role > belonging to the
Bank taken before me this 8th. day
of March 1768

Who being upon Oath severally say that on Wednesday the
second of March Instant about from a Person now present who
calls himself James Sampson< no role > came to the Bank and exchanged
a Bank Note of five hundred pounds vizt. K No. 606 dated
11th.. Feb: 1768 payable to A: Newland for which he received One
hundred Pounds in Cast and eight Bank Notes of £50 each
as follows vizt. Letter H: payable to Thomas Williams< no role > No.. 25
259,258, 259, 260, 261, 262, 263, 264 Says that the said
Sampson wrote upon the said Bank Note of £500 Thos.
