The Information of John Willett< no role > Coachman to Colonel Clinton
of new Portugal Street [..] Grosvenor Square< no role > in the
Liberty of Westminster within the County of Middlesex . Taken
before me John Spinnage< no role > Esquire One of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace or the said County City and Liberty
Who being upon his Oath Saith That he did on the Twentieth
day of January last past leave in a Stable Rented by this
Informants Master, Situate in Oxford Road in the Parish of
Saint Mary Le Bone in the County of Middlesex and [..] a Bhe [..]
Cloth Great Coat, one pair of Buckskin Leather Breeches one
Thick Set Frock and Seven Shirts all the property of this
Informants said Master and intrusted to this Informants care
Except the Seven Shirts which were this Informants own
PropertyAnd the Informant further Saith, That since the
said Twentieth day of January he hath not seen the aforementioned
things but hath lost the same out of the said StableSaith
That a Person now present who calls himself of John Hughes< no role > otherwise
he own by the names of John Lewis< no role > same on thesaidTwenty first
day of said Month of January last to Assist this Informant as a
Helper in the Stables aforesaid and left him the same day
in the Evening from which time this Informant last the aforesaid
things out of the said StablesSaith That he hath great
Reason to Suspect and doth Suspect that the said John Hughes< no role >
otherwise Lewis was the person who stole the said things out
of the Stable as aforesaid, Which five [..] Shirts are now produced
and this Informant doth verily to be the Shirts he so last he aforesaid
