of Ratcliffe Cross Sailmaker taken before
me this 10th. of Febry. 1768

Who being upon Oath says that on about the 29: day
of August last he this Informant sent by Post to Thomas Dean< no role >
Merchant in Bristol a Letter now produced in which was
inclosed a Bill of Exchanged for One hundred pounds also
now produced says he paid the Postage of said Letter which
was five pence and verily believes that a Person now present
who calls himself William Christy< no role > is the Bentical
Person to whom he paid the said Postage and that the
aforesaid Letter never went to Bristol according to its
direction
