The Information of Thomas Fox< no role > of the
Hercules Pillars in great Queen Street Vick
and William Salmon< no role > of the same Waiter
taken before me this 6th. day of Decr. 1766

Who being upon Oath severally say and first the said Thomas Fox< no role > for
himself saith that Ann Willis< no role > now present lived as a Servant with
this Informant for about five Months down to the 3d. or 4th. of Octr.November
last when he turned her away telling her at the same time that She had
Robbed him but being unwilling to Prosecute her let her go says & that
the night before he turned her away as aforesaid he had felomorisly
taken and carried away out of his Till a Quantity of Half pence
to the amount of between ten and fifteen Shillings which he suspect
and verily believes was feloniously Stolen taken and carried away
by the said Ann Willis< no role > ; And this Informant farther saith that about
a fortnight afterwardshe had Discharged the said Ann Willis< no role > he
found in a back Room behind his house Halfpence to the amount of
two Shillings and two pence and very well remember that the said Ann
Willis
< no role > at the time he charged her with the aforesd. Felony went into the
said Room where She continued some time alone and this
Informant William Salmon< no role > for himself saith that at the time the
said Felony was Committed vizt. on the 3d. of Oct. last as he verily
believes (as to the time) about the hour of twelve in the Night the said
ann Willis< no role > , himself and Jack the boy being up, the said him Willis continued
up contrary to Custom and insisted upon Jacks going to Bed, says that
about one o'Clock in and Jack went up Staris in order to go to Bed but being
then informed by Jack that the sd. Willis had been seen by Ann the same
Night attempting to open the Till, he this Informant went out of the room
and looked over the Barnisters, where he had a view of the Barron purpose
to Watch her, that in about a Quarter of an hour he saw her go into the
Barr and presently heard the Till fall that he is very sure it was the
Till by the Noise of the Half pence, that She went out of the Barr presently
and returned a second time when to again heard the noise of the half pence
