John Hoskins< no role > late of the Parish of Seaton and Beer in the County of
Devon Labourer Acknowledgeth to owe to our Sovereign Lord the
King the Sum of Five hundred Pounds David Thompson< no role > of Princes
Street Christ Church Spittle Fields in the County of Middsx. Taylor And
Robert Head< no role > of the Parish of Beer in the County of Devon Shopkeeper
Severally Acknowledge to Owe to our said Lord the King the Sum of two
hundred and fifty Pounds

Upon Condition that the [..] abovesaid John Hoskins< no role > do
Personally Appear at the next Session of Gaol Delivery holden for the
County of Middlesex then and there to Answer to an Indictment against
him for being with divers other Persons Armed with Bludge one Sticks
Whips and other Offensive Weapons on the twenty seventh day of February
last at the Parish of Topsham in the County of Devon in order to be Aiding and
Assisting in the Carrying away Uncustomed Goods agt. the form of the Statute
Etc and so from day to day and not depart the Court without leave there this
Recognizance to be Sold or else to remain in full force

day of September 1766

Pounds Daniel Adams< no role > of Saint Stephens Wall brook London Perukemaker
and John Jarratt< no role > of Hoxton in the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch in the
County of Middlesex Brandy Merchant Severally Acknowledge to Owe to
our said Lord the King the Sum of two hundred and fifty Pounds

Upon Condition that the abovesaid Robert Bools< no role > as personally appears
at the next Session of Goal Delivery holden for the County of Middlesex then
and there to Answer to an Indictment against him for being with divers other
Persons Armed with Bludgeons Sticks Whips and other Offensive Weapons
on the twenty seventh day of February last at the Parish of Topsham in the
County of Devon in order to be Aiding and Assisting in the Carrying away
Uncustomed Goods against the form of the Statute Etc. And so from day today
And not depart the Court without leave then this recognizance to be Sold
or else to remain in full force
