Lieutenant Brown of the Name of George upon half Pay And
that he is on the Irish Establishment And that the Half pay Officers
on that Establishment are paid their Half Pay by One Mr. Buckley
at the Half pay Office in the Treasury Dublin, who this Deponent
apprehends has a List of the Places of Residence of all the Officers
on Half Pay on the Irish Establishment Oral least can inform
this Deponent how to find out the said George Brown< no role > For which
Reason this Deponent as soon as he was informed thereof wrote
a Letter to his Friend. Mr. John Clark< no role > of Mr. Chagancan's Office
in the Lower Castle Yard Dubline desiring him with as much
Speed as possible to find out the said George Browne< no role > and inform
him of this Deponents unhappy Situation, And to get him to
set out for London with all imaginable Speed And the said Mr.
Clark is also directed by such Letter to consult with the said Mr.
Buckley about that Business, But for Want of Time this Deponent
hath not been able to receive an Answer to his said Letter And
this Deponent saith that he hopes and hath now great Reason
to believe that if the Court will indulge him with Time till
the next Sessions he shall before that Time be able to find out
the said George Brown< no role > And to get him to Appear as a Witness
for this Deponent on the Tryal of the said Indictments at such
next Sessions.

Sworn the 3d. Sep.1766
at Justices Stale in ye
Old Baily

Wm: Thornhill< no role >
