John Hill< no role > had done it and likewise stolen the Things,
she therefore soon after Mr. Cooke was gone to London
sent the said John Hill< no role > of a Message and as soon as he
was gone searched about the House and Offices and in
the Manger of one of the Stalls in the Stable she found
three China Basons eight Saucers a China Tea
Pot and the Silver Candlestick upon which she
sent for the said Robert Coombes< no role > and John Young< no role >
the Head boroughs of the said Parish of Hayeband
the said John Hill< no role > returning soon after she charged
him with the Robbery and gave him into the
Custody of the said Headboroughs upon which he
soon after confessed that he had taken down the said
Window from within side and had stolen the said
several Things and went with the said Anne
Cooke and the said Headboroughs into the Brewhouse
and shewed them a Hole in the Ceiling of it where
he told them in he had put the Remainder of the
things and Robert Coombes< no role > one of the said
Headboroughs immediately got up and took out
from thence the said three silver Table Spoons
nine Silver Tea Spoons the silver Cream Pot and
seven China Tea Cups and the Tea Pot did And
the said Robert Coombes< no role > and John Young< no role > for
themselves say that on Sunday Morning last
they were sent for and went to the House of the said
Mr. Cooke at Hayes where the said Mrs. Cooke
delivered into their Custody the said John Hill< no role >
and charged him with said the Robbery and that they
heard the said John Hill< no role > confess the same and
by his Direction and in his presence found the
several things in the Hole of the Brew house Ceiling
as aforesaid .
