of April 1764

Who being upon Oath says that he knows John Ives< no role > , and Richard
Grey
< no role > Coth now in Custody, says that this day Senight at Night
he said Ives and Greg mot at the said Ives's Lodgings in
Cross Lane St. Giles's next door to the Golden Boot and
there agreed to go out to break open & Robb Houses that
they accordinglyaboutabout 8 o Clock the same Nightthey
went into Demnak Street St. Giles's and by getting over
the New Buildings, they came to a Garrot Window when said
Ives broke in at the Window and that Grey and he went
into the Room white this Informant stood at the Window
and Stole one Surtont Coat one Suit of blue Cloaths and
and a Quantity of Shirts, as alsoabouta Sum of Money
that they had at this time a dark Lanthorn the Candle
of which greg Lighted with a Man in the Street who had
a Lanthorn, that they first brought the Cloaths to Ives's
Lodgings, and thatGreyIves's Girl afterwards carried them to the
Lodging where he this Examinant and Grey were taken
says that about a Week before this, he andandSd
Ives and Greg at about eight or nine o'Clock at night
got into a Gentleman's House near Hyde park corner
from whence they stole Craw of Pistols, several Suits of
Cloaths, several Gowns and other Things most of which
Goods were Sold by said Greg to one Pearson in
Shoe Lane Fleet Market who is a Common Receiver of Stolen Goods
