An Inquisition intended taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at The Parish of Saint Mary
Islington in the County of Middlesex , the 24th Day of Feby in the 23d Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroner of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of Daniel Mountain< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the Oath of Samuel Cope< no role >
John Cart< no role > , John Matthews< no role > , William Sheppard< no role > , William Charlton< no role > , Joseph Evans< no role >
Frances Burton< no role > , William Timmings< no role > , William Rofe< no role > , William Reynolds< no role >
John Pear< no role > and James Tyrrell< no role >

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said Daniel Mountain< no role >
came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said Daniel
Mountain on the Twenty third Day of February in the Year aforesaid being
riding on the Shafts of a Dray which was then passing along the Kings
Highway in the Parish and County aforesaid It so happened That her the
said Daniel Mountain< no role > then and there accidentally, casually and by Misfortune
fell to the Ground And the Near Wheel of the said Cart did then and there
pass upon and over the Head of him the said Daniel Mountain By
Means whereof he the said Daniel Mountain< no role > then and there received divers
Mortal Bruises in and upon the said Head of him the said Daniel
Mountain Of which said Mortal Bruises he the said Daniel Mountain< no role >
then and there instantly died And so the Jurors aforesaid upon their Oath
aforesaid Do say That the said Daniel Mountain< no role > in Manner and
by the means aforesaid accidentally casually and by Misfortune came
to his death And That the said near Wheel was the cause of the
Death of the said Daniel Mountain< no role > But that the same is of no value

In Witness whereof, as well the said Coroner, as the said Samuel Cope< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
