An Inquisition intended taken for our Sovereign Lord the King at The Parish of Saint Mary Islington
in the County of Middlesex , the Twentieth Day of February in the 23d Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the third , by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, KING, Defender of
the Faith, Etc. before Edward Umfreville< no role > one of the Coroners of Our said Lord
the KING, for the said County, on view of the body of John Nickan< no role >
then and there lying dead, upon the oath of Richard Handcock< no role > , Thomas
Evans
< no role > , Thomas Capps< no role > , William Hett< no role > , John How< no role > , Thomas Whitmore< no role > , Robert
Infield , Benjamin Franklin< no role > , George Redfern< no role > , John Green< no role > , James Tyrrell< no role > and
Robert Hunter< no role >

good and lawful Men of the said County duly chosen as by Law required, and who being then and there duly sworn
and charged to enquire for our said Lord the KING, when, how, and by what means the said John Nickan< no role >
came to h is Death, Do upon their Oath say, That the said John Nickan< no role > at
the Parish and in the County aforesaid departed this Life by excessive Drinking

In Witness whereof, as well [..] the said Coroner, as the said Richard Handcock< no role > the Foreman of
the said Jurors on behalf of himself and the rest of his Fellows, in their presence, have to this Inquisition set their
Hands and Seals the Day and Year first abovementioned
