Information of Witness taken at the parish of
Allhallows the less in the Ward of
Dowgate in London the 17th. day of
July 1799 on view of the body of a
man unknown then & there lying dead

John Scolefield< no role > of old Fish Street London
Lighterman maketh oath that last Monday
afternoon Dept saw the deced lying in the River Thames
near the shore at the head Wharf of Messrs. Skaltby &co.
that dept & ansr. person with him took the deced to the old Swan Stairs
& landed him. the any quite dead. Dept does not know
who he was or how he became drowned.
