Jane Boyd< no role > the wife of William Boyd< no role > mariner
maketh oath that her sd husband who is absent from her beyond
Sea was born as he has informed her in the parish of Killbride near
Irvin in Scotland & never did any act to this Deponts Knowledge
or belief to gain a Settlement in England That this Deponents
Fathr. High Hargrave< no role > deced Several years ago rented a house
of Twelve pounds a year & upwards in the upper Parish in the
Town of Kingston upon Hull in the County of york & lived
there in for diverse years (She this Depont living with him thereas
part of his Family) & by means thereof gained a legal Settlement
there That he did not afterwards rent a house of Ten pounds a year
or upwards or Serve any parish office or pay any poors Rates or
Kings Taxes or do any Act to gain a Settlement elsewhere That
She this Deponent was never an Apprentice nor ever lived as a
hired Servant for a year nor ever did any act to gain a Settlemt
for herself save what She has Acquired by her marriage as aforesd
That She hath two children namely Ann < no role > aged about Six years
& Maria < no role > aged about four years the Issue of this Deponent
by her said husband to whom She was lawfully married.

maketh oath that about fifteen years ago her said late husband
rented a house of Seven pounds & ten Shillings a year in Sun yard
in the parish of Saint Botolph witht Aldgate in the Said County
& was charged to & paid Kings Taxes for the same & by means there of
gained a legal Settlement there & did not afterwards any Act
to gain a Subsequent Settlement nor hath She this Deponent Since
his death done any Act to gain a Settlement for herself
