That Mr. Morland of Westwood in Kent having stated that
some irregularities in cutting down and carrying a way Timber
had been committed by Mr. Benjamin Martin< no role >
Tenant of a
Farm
at Barfreston
which Mr. Morland found himself
unable to prevent or remedy the Committee had
Resolved that their thanks be communicated to Mr. Moreland
for his attention to the interest of the Hospital and that the
Clerk do write to the Tenant requiring a particular account
of what Timber he had taken.
And had Ordered that Henry Morgan Bevan< no role >

should be reported for Mr. Locks Gift.
The Minutes of the Prison Committee of the following days were read
whereby it appeared
Wednesday 13th May
That the Committee had ordered that an account of the high
price of Bread the Steward should furnish the Prisoners
with three half penny worth of Bread Pr. day till further
orders.
That every Woman committed for punishment to this House
for any time not less that 14 days (unless sick or diseased)
should be immediately Stripped Bathed and Cloathed in the
Uniform of the House which she should wear during her
confinement and that her own Cloaths should be washed and
laid by in order to be returned to her on her leaving the
House.
That every such Prisoner should be confined separately and
so continued unless otherwise directed at the next weekly
Committee.
That every such Person should have a separate Bed and
be obliged to undress herself every Evening.
