Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John
Hicks
< no role > Citizen and Weaver setting forth that he served his
Apprentiship in this Hospital to Roger Owen< no role > by Indenture
Dated 3d December 1776 and by Order of Court of 28th
April 1784 was made free of this City 29th. April 1784
that he is set up for himself at No. 30 old Artillery Ground
has received part of Mr. Fowkes Gift and praying part of
Mr. Locks Gift It is Ordered that it be referred to Mr.
Deputy Rogers Richard Austin< no role > Esqr . or Mr. William Colliot< no role >
or any two of them to Inquire whether the said John Hicks< no role >
be set up for himself in his said Trade and of his.
hopefulness therein and report their opinion to this Court.

Stevens John Pemberton< no role >
to be inquired after for Mr.
Fowkes Gift.


Upon Reading the Humble Petition of John Pemberton
Stevens
< no role > Citizen and Taylor setting forth that he served his
Apprentiship in this Hospital to Thomas Whitaker< no role > by
Indenture dated 29th. April 1779 and by Order of Court
of 27 July 1786 was made free of this City 12th. September 1786
that he is set up for himself at No. 14 Ship Yard Temple Bar
and praying part of Mr. Forwke's Gift It is Ordered that it
be referred to John Birch< no role > Esqr . Mr. Richard Crowther< no role > or
Mr. Francis Altham Cumberledge< no role > or any two of them to inquire
whether the said John Pemberton Stevens be set up for
himself in his said Trade and of his hopefulness therein
and Report their opinion to the Court.

Apprentices Fees on taking
up their Freedom to be paid by
the Hospital


This Court being informed that the Fees due at Guildhall
on the Apprentices in this Hospital taking up their Freedom
have hitherto been paid by such Apprentices It is Ordered
in future that such Fees be paid by the Steward of this
Hospital.

Jones
< no role > was ordered to be made fee of this City and that the
Fees due thereon be paid the Steward of this Hospital.
