Continued Thursday 26th. Jane 1777.

Conveyance and Approved the same on behalf of the governors
and was ready to return it to be Ingrossed the Bridge Committee
having made an Order to pay the Money upon the Execution.

That in Consequence of the Bridge Committee having Cut
through and taken down part of these Houses and Mr. Wights
Yard it will be necessary to Build a Fence Wall agreeable to the
directions of the Act of Parliament and the Rules prescribed by the
Bridge Committee and the House Committee having taken this Business
into Consideration directed the Surveyor to make an Estimate of the
Expence which amount to £312. But by an Order of Court of the
29th. of May 1776 It was Ordered that when any thing was
proposed which would Cost the Charity £300.. the same should not
be undertaken unless approved by two General Courts and by two
thirds of the governors present at each. This Court doth Concur
with the Committee in Opinion as to the necessity of Building the said
Wall and doth Order that the same be forthwith Built under the
Inspection of the House Committee Assisted by the Surveyor of this
Hospital

Baylis Isaac to be
paid £10 Locks Gift

Mr. Samuel Parsons< no role > one of the governors Reported that in
Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 24th. of April last he had
made an Inquiry and found that Isaac Baylis< no role > late Apprentice
to William Day< no role > was Set up for himself in his Trade and has the
Character of a diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered that the
toward do pay the said Isaac Baylis Ten Pounds out of Mr.
Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.

paid £10 Fowkes Gift

Mr. Deputy Rogers and John Spiller< no role > Esqr . two of the governors
Reported that in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 24th. of April lost
they had made Inquiry and found that Richard weaver< no role > late
Apprentice to Thomas Dunn< no role > was set up for himself in his Trade and
has the Character of a diligent and Sober Man It is Ordered
that the Clerk do pay the said weaver' sex='m' id="n4783-5">Richard weaver Ten Pounds
out of Mr. Fowke's Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.
