Continued Thursday 26th. June 1777

additional aid your Petitioners have been under the
necessity of borrowing £65..4s. towardefraying the Expences
aforesaid from Lady Day 1776 to Lady Day 1777. &
praying the same Additional Sum of £36.. to enable
them to pay of part of the said Debt" It is Ordered that
the said Petition be referred to the House Committee that
they do consider the same and report their Opinion thereon
to this Court.

Upon Reading a Request of the Committee of City
Lands to the President treasurer and governors of
Bridewell and Bethlem Hospitals in the Words following
Viztn. Resolved that the President treasurer and governors
of the Hospitals of Bridewell & Bethlem be requested by
this Committee not to Grant any Lease or enter into any
Agreement for a Lease of the House in Bridewell Precinct
known by the Name of the Acorn Alehouse, as this Committee
are of Opinion it will be necessary to take down the said
House in Order to make a New Street from Blackfriers
Bridge to the TempleOrdered that Mr. Compbroller
Attend at the General Court of the said President
treasurer and governors to be held to Morrow at Bridewell
Hospital and make the said request" And it being
represented to this Court that the said House was
already Let by the House Committee It is Ordered that
it be referred to them to return the Committee of City Lands
an Answer.

Bridge Committee
Conveyance of two Small Pieces
of ground in Bride Street

Clerk

This Court being informed that the Clerk has received
from the Sollicitor to the Bridge Committee a Draft of a
Conveyance of two small Pieces of Ground in Bride Street
Vizt. One part being Houses late in Lease to one Bailey which
have been Cut through and in part taken down and the other
a Yard belonging to the Reverend Mr Wight The Consideration
to be paid by the Bridge Committee is for Bayleys premises
£1270..2s..6d For Mr. Wights Yard £105. 4s. in all
£1375..6s.6d that the Clerk had perused and Settled the
