Continued Thursday 22d June 1775

Jointly and severally bound in £5000The Sureties to be
approved by the Committee of Inspection and a General Court.

That in lieu of a House he be allowed Fifty Pounds a Year
and the Room adjoining to the Clerks Office a Fire to be kept them
whenever he shall direct at the Expence of the Hospital

That he have Liberty to propose one Governor Annually to the
General Court

That he lay his Accounts before the Committee of Inspection once
a Quarter and before a General Court once a Year Vizt. at the
April Quarterly Court

That he pay all the Officers and Servants their Salaries
Quarterly

That it belong to his Office generally to receive and pay all Sums
to be received and paid on behalf of these Hospitals and Particularly
that he pay all Bills as soon as the same shall be duly Audited and
that he pay each Steward Weekly a sum in Advance sufficient to
defray the weekly expences of each Hospital

That he enter in a Book all Noties of Legacies and on the
other side when those Legacies are paid and that he report to every
General Court all Legacies an Benefactions received since the
former Court. That as often as the Office of Treasure shall be Vacant
the Duty and Authority of that Office shall devolve upon the
Committee of Inspection.

Auditor General

That before the End of March in each Year he Audit the
Accounts up to the Christmas preceding and Inform the next
Court of his having so done

Clerk

That he give Security (as usual) himself and two Sureties
Jointly and severally Bound in £2000The Sureties to
be approved by the Committee of Inspection and a General Court

That he pay all Monies to the Treasure as soon as received
That one Shilling only he paid by Candidates or others for each
List of governors.

That for the future the Clerks Salary be £250 a Year
and no Perquisites payable by the Hospitals. NB Upon a
Vacancy the Salary be reduced to £200 a year and the House
now Occupied by the Clerk resumed and let for the benefit of the
Hospital and another found for him within the
Hospital.
