A Report from the Committee of Treasury under the
Hands of Wm. Addington< no role > Esqr . Nicholas Nixon< no role > Esqr John Rivington< no role >
Esqr . Edward Bridgen< no role > Esqr . James Hebert< no role > Esqr . Mr. Robt. Harding< no role >
Mr. Thomas Horne< no role > & Henry Major< no role > Esqr . being Presented to the
Court was read in the Words and figures following Vizt. In Pursance
of two Ordered made by the governors of the aforesaid Hospitals at
two General Courts held at Bridewell Hospital the one on Thursday
the 15th and the other on Thursday the 20th day of December last by
the first of which It was Ordered that a Committee of Treasury
(whereof 5 to be a quorum) should be Appointed and by the last of
which it was referred to the same Committee to Prepare and lay
before the General Court such Rules and Orders as they should
think Necessary for the better Management of the said Hospitals &
Securing the Revenues thereof and they were impowered to borrow
of Messr. Ladbroke Rawlinson & Co. Bankers any Sum not exceeding
£5000 at £4 P Cont P Ann. We whose Names are hereunto
Subscribed being of the Committee appointed by the said Orders do
Report to this Court.

That in Pursuance of the Power given as aforesaid we have
borrowed of Messn. Ladbroke Rawlinson< no role > & Co. the sum of two Thousand
five Hundred pounds which with Rents received from Tenants.
Dividends on Stocks two Legacies of Fifty Pounds each also two
Thousand one Hundred & Fifty Pounds received on Account of
Dividends from the Assignees of Mr. William Kinleside< no role > late treasurer
to these Hospitals amount to the Sum of £124176: 3 and that
we have paid the sum of £267817:6 being the Amount of
Workmens Bills and also the Sum of £5918 3: 1 being the amount
of Sunday Trademens Bills both which sums were due at the time
of this Committees being Appointed and we have also paid then
further Sum of £3729 5:11 for provision for the Patients and other
Current expences due to Midsummer last altogether amounting to
the Sum of £12416..6s..6d which Receipts and Payments.
Particularly Appear in the Cash Book and the Ballance which
remains in the Hands of the Bankers is £0..19s..9d which this
Committee is ready to pay over to the Gentleman who shall be
Elected Treasure to these Hospitals and this Committee Acquaint
the Court that all Demands on the Building Account and all
Tradesmens Bills that have been Audited to Midsummer last
are paid and the Committee further Report that they have not been
able to Repay the Money borrowed of Messr. Ladbroke Rawlinson
& Co. not having received the Money due to these Hospitals from the
