Continued Monday 29th. May 1775.

We the said Committee having endeavoured to inform
ourselves fully of the State of the two Hospitals. and all the concerns
of the same; and in Order thereto, having, by a Sub Committee.
viewed all Parts of both Hospitals and the Precinct of Bridewell
examined view voce. most of the Officers and Servants belonging to
the Hospitals; caused all Maps and Plans now Subsisting of
the several Estates of each Hospital to be laid before us, as also,
Extracts from the Books of the Hospitals, as well of the Report of a
former Select Committee of Enquiry concerning the Arts Masters
and Apprentices, as of the General Regulations formerly made for
the better Government of the Hospital of Bethlem and of the Duties
Salaries and Perquisites of the various Officers, Servants and
others belonging to both Hospitals (all which Extracts are herewith
Submitted to the Court) are of Opinion, that the following Rules
and Regulations are proper to be now adopted.

General Courts

That four General Courts at the least be held every Year (Vizt.)
One in January One in April, One in July and one in November
and others as often as the President shall think proper.

That all Books of Accounts relating to these Hospitals be laid
on the Table at every Court for the Inspection of the governors

That in the Summons to the Quarterly Court in April, it be
mentioned that "That Court is to take into Consideration the
State of these Hospitals" and that no other Business be entered on
at that Court till the Clerk has and the Titles and Totals of the
Years Accounts up to Christmas Preceding with the Audit thereof
and the Names of the Auditors who sign it Nor till the
Auditor General has reported to that Court the Names of all
Tenants above Nine Months in Arrear the Sums they respectively
owe their Annual Rents and in whose Collection they are and
that the Report of the Auditor General be entered in the
Minutes of that Court.

Committees

That this Committee be dissolved immediately after the
Election of a treasurer and that a treasurer be Elected on the
Feast day in July next
