Continued Thursday 22d June 1775

That for the future the Matron of Bridewell Salary be £60
a year and no Perquisites and that she be not allowed to Indulge
any Prisoner with a Bed expect by Order of the Prison Committee
or (in Case of Sickness) of one of the Physical Officer or of the
Steward of Bridewell Such Beds to be found at the Expence of
the Hospital

That for the future the Matron of Bethlem's Salary be £60
a year and no Perquisites except Coals Candles Washing one
Pound of Soap a Week and the Provisions of the House

NB In Case of a Vacancy this Salary to be Reduced to £50
a Year

Porter of Bridewell

That for the future his Salary be £80 a Year and no
Perquisites paid by the Hospital And that all Copies of Commitments
be given Gratis and that he be not allowed to Indulge any Prisoner
with a Bed except by Order of the Chamberlain of London or of the
Prison Committee or (in Case of Sickness) of one of the Physical
Officer or of the Steward of Bridewell

NB In case of a Vacancy this Salary to be reduced to £60
a Year

Chapel Clerk

That for the future his Salary be £12: 10. a Year and no
Perquisites payable by the Charity and that he find himself
a Suit of Black Cloaths

Porter of Bethlem

That for the future his Salary be £57 a Year a Suit of
blue Cloaths consisting of Coal Waistcoal and Breeches a
Fustian Frock Coals Candles washing and the Provisions of
the House and no other Perquisites

NB In Case a Vacancy this Salary to be reduced to
£30. a Year

Beadles and Poter's Man

That for the future the first Beadles and Sexton's Places be
United with a Salary of £45 a year a Suit if Cloaths
consisting of Coat Waistcoat and Breeches a Thickset Frock and
Leather Breeches a Hat Attending every Fire 2s. 6d Attending
the Gate Lock up days (as usual) and no other Perquisites payable
by the Charity
