Henry Cranke< no role > Esqr . and Mr. Deputy Rogers two of the governors Reported that
in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 9th. June last they had made an Inquiry
and found that Stephen Jones< no role > late Apprentice to Thomas Banks< no role > , is set up
for himself in his Trade and has the Character of a Diligent and Sober Man
It is Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Stephen Jones< no role > £10 out of
Mr. Fowkes Gift to be allowed him in his next Account.

in Pursuance of an Order of Court of the 9th. of June last they had made an

and Sober Man It is Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Edward

Sober Man. It is Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Lewis Driver
£10 out of Mr. Fowkes Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

and Sober Man. It is Ordered that the Steward do pay the said Samuel
Granger
< no role > £10 out of Mr. Locks Gift to be allowed him in his next Account

Bethlem Hospital

Upon Reading an Order of the Committee of Bethlem bearing date the 28th. day of
May 1774 whereby it appeared that Complaint was made by the Steward of that Hospital of
William Dodd< no role > Porter to the said Hospital for his Misbehaviour Drunkeness and
Incapacity to Execute his Office of Porter and the Committee having gone into a Regular
Inquiry as to the Charge and finding the same to be true and the said William Dodd< no role > being
called in and Admonished and behaving in such a manner as there was little Expectation
of Amendment in his Conduct for the future the said Committee were Unanimously of
Opinion that he should deliver up his Keys and did Order that he should be suspended
from his Office of Porter until the Committee shall make other Order to the Contrary
and it was further Ordered that upon delivering up all his Keys and Removing himself
