Dorset Duke Lease of the
burial grod. to be renewed}


Order'd That it be referr'd to the Comittee of this House to renew the
Lease from The Duke of Dorset to The Trear and Two other Governors of
Bridewell Hospital of the Burial ground on the Westside of the sd. Hospital
which will Expire at Lady day 1759.

Accots. the Ball to Xmas 1755


The Right Worshipfull The President Reported to this Court the Ballance of the
Accounts of these Hospitals to Christmas 1755 which were Audited the 4th. day of May
last, The Ballance of Bridewell being £637.5..5 & Bethlem & the Incurables £11.477.4..7

Minister Question That the Order
for an Additional Stipend of £20-
[..] be repeated Pass'd in the Negative}


A Motion was made That that part of the Order made at last Court That £20 a year
be paid to Mr. Gibbon the Preacher as an Additional Stipend from last Lady day
be RepeatedAnd the Question being put Mr President said he thought the
Majority of hands was against the Repeal And a Division being Demanded It was
granted, And the Governors who were against the Repeal Continued in the Court room
And those who were for the Repeal withdrew into the Chappel and Tellers were
Appointed Vizt. Mr. George Wyld< no role > and Mr Robert Gamon< no role > , and Mr. William Seaward< no role >
and Mr. John Whalley< no role > who having taken an Account of the Several Numbers, And
the Governors Who had withdrawn returning into the Court room The Tellers
Reported That the Number of Governors who Staid in the Court room was 56
besides the 2 Tellers and that the Number of Governors who withdrew into the
Chappel was 31 besides the 2 TellersWhereupon the Right Worshipfull
the President declared the Question was carried in the Negative.

Alsop Mr Aldn. desired to Transfer
stocks in his Name to President
Trear & Andr Genl}


Mr. Alderman Alsop desired He might Transfer the Several Stocks Standing in
his Name In Transfer for these HospitalsWhereupon It was Order'd That Sr. Richd.

Auditor General be Trustees for these Hospitals in respect of the Stocks belonging
