At this Court a Letter dated 26th. Instant directed to The President Trears
and Governors was read as followsI am by Misfortunes in Trade now
a Prisoner in Ludgate for Debt and not likely to Settle my Affairs with my
Creditors so as to Carry on my business. And therefore resign my place as
one of your Artsmasters and beg your Worships to Accept the same
with my Most humble thanks for your favours to Your Most Obedient
humble Servant James Farnsworth< no role > Which resignation is Accepted
And the Vacancy of an Artsmaster declared.

Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House dated the
20th. of April 1757 under the hands of John Wallington< no role > Esqr . Trear
Mr Robert Pott< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. , Mr. Richard Manby< no role > Mr. Richard Blunt< no role > & Mr. Saml John< no role >
as followsThis Comityee Viewed the Gallery and Windows in the Hall
of this Hospital And are of Opinion That The Gallery shou'd be taken
down And that the Windows shou'd be Alter'd According to the Plans now
laid before the Comittee And be Sashed with two-inch-WainscoatAll
which is Submitted to the Judgment of the CourtThis Court
having duly Weighed and Consider'd the sd. Report doth Confirm the same
And Order it be refered to the said Comittee to make the sd.
Alterations According to the Plans mark't A.

Blott Thos. to have £10 Locks gift
besides £10 he has had of Fo. Gift


Upon Reading a Report from the Comittee of this House dated
the 9th. day of December 1756 under the hands of John Wallington Esq
Trear, Mr. Robert Pott, Mr Richard Manby, Mr. Richard Blunt &
Mr. Saml. John as follows.This Comittee in Pursuance of an
Order of Court the 9th. day of Decr. 1756 enquired into the behaviour of
Thomas Blott< no role > and from the Information they have received are of
Opinion That (besides the Ten pounds he has had of Mr Fowkes Gift
He deserves Ten pounds of Mr. Locks gift which is Submitted
to the Judgment of the Court And it is Order'd to be Reported
to the next CourtThis Court having duly weighed & Considered the
said Report doth Confirm the same. And Order That the Steward do
pay the said Thomas Blott Ten pounds out of Mr Locks Gift

Minister his Duty is to Preach or
[..] Prudence to preach every Sunday}


A Motion being made That the Minutes of the Comittee of this House of the
23d. of March last be read they were Accordingly readAnd upon the Question
being put, The Court Agreed with the Comittee That it is the Duty of The
Minister and Preacher of this Hospital and Precinct to Preach or Provide one
to Preach in the Chappel twice every Sunday.

Minister to have £20 adj as an
Additional Stipend from Laday 1757}


It Appearing to this Court That the Subscriptions formerly paid by the
Inhabitants of this Hospital and Precinct to the Preacher have been with drawn
A Motion was made That £20. a Year be paid to Mr. Gibbon the
Preacher as an Additional Stipend from last Lady dayAnd the Question
being put It was Order'd Accordingly
