Arstmasters be continued at the Hempblocks and that no person be permitted
to come to him.

Upon reading this humble petition of Roger Whinnell< no role > of the parish of Saint John in
Wapping in the County of Middlesex Painter Setting forthThat the Lease from
the Governours toWilson and by him assigned to Joseph Tantum< no role > deceased of Four
Houses and Ground in wapping Vizt. Two Houses and a Carpenters Yard on this
North Side of Wapping [..] and Two Houses and a Wharf on the South Silk of the
said Street with expire at Laday 1745.That the Petitioner proposes to take [..]
of the said Promises for the Term of Twenty one years from Laday 1745 at the persons [..]
of £5. 6 payable quarterly clear of all Taxes and with such Covenants as an usually
contained in the Leases from the Governours to their Tenants and to pay a Fine of £50
lay out £250 in rebuilding the Wharf with Stone (which is in a returns [..] dition and
will [..] at least £50) and in repairing the use of the premisses and to [..]
-cost of such LeaseThat Susanna Tantum< no role > Relict and administratrix of the said
Joseph Tantum< no role > gives her account there to testified by her Signing this petitionAnd
prayed the Governours to Grant him a Lease according to his said proposallsIt is
Ordered that the said Petition be referred to the Comee of this House to consider thereof
& to make their Report thereon to the Court.

Elected an Arstmaster }


At this Court the Several humble petitions of John E [..] Daniel How< no role >
and Richard Shaw< no role > were and setting fothThat they are willing to take such
number of Apprentices as the Court shall think fit and to keep their Apprentices in
repair with Glazing plaistering and whiteing at their own expences is [..]
done by the Arstmasters and to comply with all orders of the Court and Co [..]
made and to be made in relation to Artsmasters and praying to be Elected an
Artsmasters in the room of Mr. William Cook< no role > who has resigned and the said John
E [..] and Daniel How< no role > being called in desired leave to withdraw their said Petitions
Whereupon the Question being put that the said Richard Shaw< no role > be Elected on [..]
of this Hospital He was unanimously Elected an Arstmasters till the next Election
day and it is Ordered that the said Richard Shaw< no role > upon delivering a Certificate
of this Settlement to the Clerk and producing a Copy of this freedom of this City) be
Admitted Artsmaster of this Hospital untill the next Election day upon giving
Security as is usual in the bike Case and that the Journey man which he [..]
in his Trade shall be such as have Served their Apprenticeships an this [..]
