Upon reading the humble Petition of Stephen Evers< no role > Senr . and Stephen Evers< no role >
junr . Setting forthThat the Petitioner Stephen Evers< no role > Senr . has been many
years Tenants to the Governors of Gallens Farm in Kent his Lease whereof
expired Cast Michaelmas at £80 p Arm RentThat the said Petitioner
has not been able to live upon the said Farm but has Spent great part of his
Substance since he has been in it the he and his wife and two sons and two
Daughters have taken great pairs and lived very hard and the Petitioner is
desirous to quit the sameThat upon the Comittee viewing the said Farm
they found the same very much out of repairThat if the Governors will be
pleased to do the said repair your Petitioner Stephen Evers Jur is willing to take
a Lease of the said Farm for 21 years from Michaelmas last at £75 P Ann
Rent with a Covenant to keep the premes in repair and other usual Covenantsand
Prayed the Governors to grant him a Lease according to his proposalls. It is
Ordered that the said Petition be referred to the comee of this Horse consits
thereof & to report their Opinion there on to the Court.
