Friday 11th. Novr. 1737 .

Mr. Ambler for his Lease of the AcornAnd proposed to the Committee
to surrender up the said Lease of the Acorn, and to take a new Lease thereof
for Sixty one Years from Christmas next and to pay the same Yearly Rent of
£5. without any Deduction or Abatement for Parliamentary or other Taxes
or Charges whatsoever and to pay a Fine of £10.. 10. - and to accept at
his Charge a Lease of the said premisses with such Clauses and Covenants
as are usually contained in Leases from the Governors to their Tenants and
also a Covenant not to att or use the premisses or any part thereof to or for
a Slaughter House or Sugar House or any Trade that may be noisome or
offensive to the Neighbours And a Covenant to pay to the Chappell Wardens
of the said Precinct for the time being such Sum and Sums of money Quarterly
in proportion with other occupyers of Ground and Houses in the said Precinct
towards the Charge of the Scavenger Watch and Poor of the said Precinct as
shall be rated or assessed from time to time at the usual Meetings of the
Chappell Wardens and Inhabitants of the said Precinct, and to execute a
Counterpart of such LeaseWhereupon this Comittee having considered
the said proposals of the said Richard Haydon< no role > are of Opinion to accept
the sameAll which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgment of the
CourtAnd it is ordered this opinion be reported to the next Court
This Court both confirm the said Report and order that a Lease be made to ye said
Richd. Haydon< no role > accordingly

Upon reading a Report from the Comittee of Bridewell Hospital bearing
date the 14th. of September last under the hands of the Worshipfull
Robert Bishop< no role > Esqr . Trear , Mr. William Poole< no role > , William Morrice< no role > and
John May< no role > in the words and figures following Vizt.
In Pursuance of an order of this Court bearing date the 23d. of
June last this Comee have treated with an Hempdresser for the said
Hospital, and Joseph Withers< no role > Citizen and Tallow Chandler of London
having proposed to employ the Prisonersof [..] in the said Hospital in
beating Hemp and to pay for the Prisoners labour 4. P day for a Man &
2d. for a Woman Boy or Girl as was paid by Mr. Waldo deceased
in case he the said Mr. Withers shall be Elected an Artsmaster of this
HospitalWhereupon this Committee having considered the said proposals
are of opinion the same are reasonable Proposals and that the said Joseph
Withers
< no role > is a proper person to be Hempdresser of the said Hospital if the Court
shall think fittAll which is nevertheless submitted to the Judgment
of the CourtAnd it is ordered this opinion be reported to the next
CourtThis Court having considered of the said Report doth confirm
the same.
