Vestry met pursuant to Notice given in the Church
on Sunday to choose an Organist of this
Parish Church in the Room of Mr. Anthony
Young< no role > deceased

Present

A Great number of the Inhabitants

The several Preliminary Articles agreed upon
this morning by the Vestry were read and
Agreed to by the several Candidates

The Vestry room not being large enough to hold
the Inhabitants the Church wardens moved
that they might adjourn into the Church and
which was done accordingly

The sevll. Persons following appeared and
offered themselves Candidates for the Place of
Organist of this Parish Church (to wit)

Mr. Saml. Howard< no role >
Mr. Jno. Salmon< no role >
Mr. Joshua Thompson< no role >
Mr. Markham
Mr. Joseph Fearon< no role >
Mr. Gates
Mr. Fawkner

And upon holding uphands there appeared
to be a Majority for Mr. Salmon
