HENRY PORTER. I am drayman to Messrs. Truman and Co. On the 28th of January, I was at the corner of Crispin-street, Spitalfields
, with my dray, between six and seven o'clock in the evening, and missed a cask. I saw it at Mr. Gullen's in about two hours, with the marks all chipped out. Smallman told me where to find it.
ANN GULLEN. My husband is a cooper. On the 28th of January, two men brought a cask to our house to sell - I told them I would not buy it; they then asked to leave it there for a few minutes. I believe they both asked me to let them leave it.
JOHN SMALLMAN. On the 28th of January, I saw the prisoner with the firkin on his shoulder, in White's-row, Spitalfields; he took it into Gullen's shop. I went in with him, and afterwards told the drayman.
