John Parker proceedingsdefend and Catherine Jones proceedingsdefend of St. Giles's without Cripplegate , were indicted for privately stealing two Callico Shirts, the Goods of Elizabeth Meers proceedingsvictim , Widow , from the Shop of William Kingston < no role > , on the 16th of April last. It appear'd by the Evidence, that the Prisoners came into the Prosecutor's Shop, and ask'd for Callico; that at the same time an Alehouse Woman came in for her Pot; and while the Wife of the Prosecutor turn'd her Back for it, Jones took the Goods and went off with them. The Fact being plain against her, the Jury found her Guilty of Felony ; but nothing appearing against Parker she was acquitted .
