John Pallister proceedingsdefend , of the Parish of St. Mary Woolnorth , was indicted for privately stealing 2 Guineas, 2 half Guineas, the Goods of Thomas Paine proceedingsvictim , on the 12th of October last. It appear'd that the Prisoner came with a Note to receive Money, and there lying some Gold on the Counter, he took the Opportunity of conveying the Gold under his Hat , and the Prosecutor's Servant seeing of him, he took hold of his Hand, and he dropt the Money; whereupon the Jury found him guilty of Felony.
