Examination TextMary Williams aged 45 Years Lodging in a tenement of one Mr Beeche's in Bow Street ats Thieving Lane Westmr from whence she was Passed, Saith that she was Married to John Williams at the Kings Bench by a Minister of the Church of England . but what his name was knoweth not, fourteen Years the 13th of July last, That he went from her about ten Years agoe, and where he now is or whether dead or living knoweth not, not having heard from him or seen him , but once since which is about three Years & an half agoe, Saith when he Married her . he kept house opposite to the Wall of the Mews at Charing Cross and continued in this same about three Quarters of the Year afterwards, paid £48 Pr Ann Rent and all Parochial Taxes, and since the kept house in Mermaid CourtCharing cross about a year and three Quarters, paid £21Pr Ann Rent and all Parochial Taxes, left the same about Eleven Years agoe and she or her said Husband ( as she knoweth or ever heard) never kept house Rented £10 Pr Ann or paid any Parish Taxes since hath one Child Mary Williams aged about 12 Years.
