| Examination Text | Mary Higgins aged 42 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith that she is the widow Daniel Higgins (who has been dead 12 months) to whom she was married at St Margaret's in the liberty of Westminster about seven years ago, that he was a Bricklayer by trade and kept house in Mercers Street in the said Parish of St Martin for the space of six years at the yearly rent of 28 pounds besides taxes and never quitted the same till his death, since which time she has never gained any other settlement.
