Examination TextJohn Smith aged 39 years and upwards destitute of lodging upon his oath saith is a Roll and Press Printer by trade and was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to Mr John Wyat of the same business at London Wall in the Parish of Allhallows London and there served about a year, and then his said Master removed into Long Acre near the Vine Tavern in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there served the remainder of his time which expired about 18 years ago, since which time he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together. Sworn the 24th of January 1749 before James Fraser.
