Examination TextCatherine Saunders aged 91 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she is the widow of Simon Saunders (who has been dead 10 years) to whom should married at St Martin's Church 20 years ago, that he was a Chairman by trade and lived in and rented an house in Little Catherine Street next door to the Naggs Head in the Parish abovesaid for 12 years at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same four years ago and never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes since. Taken at the workhouse the 10th of January 1749.
