Examination TextRosamond Plowman aged about 55 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of William Plowman (who has been dead about 12 years) to whom she was married at the ffleet 29 years ago, that he was a Bridle Bit Maker by trade and was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to Edward Hooker a Bridle Bit Maker in the Meuse in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid and there served all his time out which expired about 29 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, nor hath she this Examinant since her said husband's death. Taken in the workhouse the 26th Day of March 1750.
