Examination Text | Hannah Skinner aged 75 years and upwards lodging at Mrs Meake's near the Castle in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of George Skinner (who has been dead about eight years) to whom she was married at their own house after the manner of the Church of Rome about 20 years ago, that he was a Taylor by trade and lived in and rented an house next the sign of the Castle in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 35 years at the yearly rent of 55 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about nine years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, nor hath she this Examinant or been a yearly hired servant since her said husband's death, that she has no children.
